True or False: According to Genesis 6:22, Noah did everything exactly as God commanded him.
Genesis 6:22
True — True! Genesis 6:22 says, 'Thus did Noah; according to all that God commanded him, so did he.' Noah's complete obedience is one of the most powerful examples of faith in all of scripture — he built an enormous ark even when no one else believed a flood was coming.
You're Noah, and God has just told you to build a massive ark because a flood is coming. Your neighbors think you've lost your mind and mock you constantly. What do you do?
Genesis 6:22
Build the ark exactly as God commanded, no matter what people say — Genesis 6:22 says Noah did 'according to all that God commanded him, so did he.' Noah didn't negotiate, delay, or modify God's instructions. Sometimes following the prophet means doing things that look strange to the world.
This week covers Genesis 6:8, 6:22, 9:13, 11:4, Moses 8:24, Moses 8:27. Read the chapters at churchofjesuschrist.org.
