Sample questions from this week's game

You've done something wrong and you feel terrible about it. Your heart is heavy with guilt. Like David in Psalm 51, what's the most important thing you can do?

Psalm 51:10-12

Show answer

Humbly confess to God and ask Him to create a clean heart in you — David didn't try to minimize his sin or make excuses. He came to God with complete honesty: 'I acknowledge my transgressions' (v. 3). Then he asked for something radical — not just forgiveness, but a new heart. Real repentance isn't about feeling bad; it's about turning to God and letting Him remake you from the inside out.

True or False: In Psalm 51, David prays 'Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.'

Psalm 51:10

Show answer

True — True! Psalm 51:10 is one of the most heartfelt prayers in scripture. After his grievous sins with Bathsheba, David didn't just ask for forgiveness — he asked God to fundamentally change his heart. He understood that real repentance goes deeper than behavior change; it requires a new heart and a renewed spirit that only God can create.
